Kath Wholey is TankSafe®’s managing director. She’s also an accomplished hockey player and coach.

We asked Kath about her job, hitting pucks, and inspiring the next generation of hockey players.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?
The feet of my 5 year old son in my face is a great wake up call, ha ha.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Enjoying banter with the team and knowing we are making a difference in what we deliver.


What’s on your wishlist for the next 5 years at TankSafe®?
To secure more OEM contracts, and prestigious business awards. 

What do you think makes a good hockey player?
Intelligence and commitment.

What’s your biggest sporting achievement to date?
2nd in South Africa for 400m sprinting.

What’s the best thing about coaching hockey?
The moment when you see the penny drop; the development of the children and being that positive role model.

If you could pick any three famous people in the world, alive or deceased, to have a few drinks with, who would they be?

1 Meryl Streep - she’s incredibly talented and I love her story;
2 Usain Bolt- talented and inspirational;
3 Anne Boleyn - it would be great to have an understanding of how it was to have influenced such a change in the church.
