Choosing the right fuel security for your fleet can be a daunting task.
There is a myriad of anti-siphon devices on the market, all claiming to prevent your fuel being stolen.
Problem 1
The trouble with all anti-siphons is that they sit in the tank, submerged in the top layer of fuel.
This means up to 70 litres can still be siphoned off, as shown below.
Problem 2
The vast majority of anti-siphon devices are poorly made and have various flaws.
For instance, a weak base is easily knocked out with a screwdriver, allowing a thief to drain the entire tank.
Discovered during a recent inspection: the anti-siphon’s base has been knocked out, allowing access to the entire tank of fuel.
Problem 3
All anti-siphon devices allow the tank to be over-filled, or “brimmed”.
Brimming is a common tactic used by unscrupulous employees - brim the tank and secretly skim off the fuel later.
Over-filling / brimming causes spillage and leakage problems.
Spills and leaks can also occur if a sub-standard, ill-fitting anti-siphon is fitted.

The only choice
